This guide will lead you through the straightforward steps to enable MFA on your BitOasis account, ensuring the security of your personal information and digital assets. Follow these instructions to fortify your BitOasis account and enjoy peace of mind.

To set up a time-based one-time password (TOTP) for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on our website, please follow these beautifully simple steps:

Step 1: Get Google Authenticator

Begin by downloading the Google Authenticator app on your iOS or Android device. If you already have the app, you’re all set for the next step.

You can download it via the App Store and/or Google Play.

Step 2: Access Your BitOasis Account

Log into your BitOasis account. If you don’t have an account yet, create one by clicking here to "Sign Up".

Step 3: Navigate to Settings

Once logged in, go to your BitOasis dashboard. Click on your Settings, and select ‘Security’ from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Add Your MFA Device

In the settings, click on ‘MFA Devices’ and then the ‘Add device’ button.

Step 5: Verify with SMS

A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this code in the box provided and click ‘Confirm OTP Code’.

Step 6: Configure Google Authenticator

Open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Scan the barcode displayed on the screen or manually enter the code. Name your device, input the MFA code, and click ‘Authorize and Save’. If you don’t have the Google Authenticator app, refer back to Step 1 for download links.

Important: If you disable the ‘Send me SMS instead’ option and later lose access to your registered mobile device, you will not be able to access your account. To regain access, please contact our Support team.

Step 7: Secure Login

Log in to your BitOasis account again. After entering your username and password, you will be prompted to enter the 6-digit MFA code from the Google Authenticator app. Remember, Google Authenticator generates a new code every 30 seconds.

Note: If you prefer to receive an SMS, click the ‘Send an SMS instead’ option at the bottom of the screen. This option will not be available if you disabled it in Step 6.
